Privacy policy
How this website handles information, and what happens to images captured during inspection work. It is short where the site does little, and specific where the work does more.
What this policy covers.
This policy covers information collected through verticalrecon.com. It also covers personal information captured incidentally during our aerial and ground inspection work.
The signed service agreement adds rules for client project files and deliverables. If that agreement gives a client stronger privacy or confidentiality protection, that protection also applies.
This site is intended for businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Website visits.
Hosting and request logs
Every visit passes through Cloudflare so the page can load and the site can block attacks. Cloudflare may process technical details such as the IP address, browser and connection information, the time, and the pages requested. These are routine technical logs created while Cloudflare delivers and protects the site.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It reports totals and general trends, such as page views, referrers, browser type and approximate country. Cloudflare states that it does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint individuals for analytics.
Cookies
We do not use advertising cookies or optional analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set or read security cookies and process technical signals to manage traffic, prevent abuse and verify form submissions. We do not use those measures for advertising or cross-site tracking. We will reassess this notice, and any consent choices, if our tools change.
Fonts and third-party requests
Every typeface on this site is served from this domain. Loading a page does not send a request from your browser to a font provider.
What is not here
The site has no behavioral advertising, no user accounts, no online payment, no chat widget and no session recording. It uses one quote form and a small set of hosting, security and email-delivery services.
Quote requests.
Everything the form asks for is there because it is needed to scope the work and reply to you.
The form asks for
- Your name
- Company or district
- Email address
- Phone number, if you want to be called
- What needs inspecting, and where
- The site type, what needs scanning, and access
- What is driving the request, and how often
We use what you send to answer you, assess and quote the work, and schedule it. We also use it to keep business records, protect the site, prevent abuse and comply with the law. If a legal claim arises, we may use it to establish or defend the claim.
When you send the form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks whether the request is automated. Resend then sends the message to our business email. Cloudflare says Turnstile processes technical signals, including the IP address and browser and connection information, to detect bots and abuse. It says those signals are not used to identify, profile or target people.
We do not add form submissions to a marketing list.
Images collected during inspections.
Our cameras document the asset or site we were hired to inspect. Images may incidentally include nearby property, people, vehicles or identifying details.
We do not use inspections to monitor unrelated people or neighboring property. Where it is practical and safe, flights and frames are planned to limit unrelated capture.
Project imagery goes to the client and to the people the client authorizes. That can be its engineer, contractor, insurer, lender, attorney or public agency. We may also disclose it where the law requires, or to deal with a safety incident, claim or dispute.
We do not sell imagery. We do not use identifiable incidental imagery in marketing without permission. Before any approved public use, we may crop, blur or remove unrelated identifying details. We do not use facial recognition, create biometric identifiers, or identify people from incidental imagery.
Project files are kept for the period in the service agreement or our retention schedule. They are then deleted or de-identified where practical, subject to backups and legal holds. An image may be needed longer for context, measurement, chain of custody, a safety investigation or a legal hold.
Concerns about inspection imagery go to admin@verticalrecon.com. Tell us the approximate date and location so we can find the frames.
Who receives information.
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We disclose it only as needed to run the site and the business, respond to you, or perform an engagement. Beyond that, we disclose it to protect rights or safety, to comply with the law, or to the providers and advisers below.
We do not allow third parties to collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use this site. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or targeted advertising.
Project files go to the client and to the recipients the client authorizes. Once an authorized recipient has a copy, that recipient’s handling may be outside our control.
The main service providers
- Hosting, security, form check, analytics Cloudflare
- Serves the site and handles every request to it. Provides Turnstile, the check that estimates whether a form submission is automated, and Web Analytics, which reports traffic totals.
- Email delivery Resend
- Sends the form message to our business email. It processes the sender and recipient addresses, the message content, metadata and delivery events. Resend states that email data and logs on its standard plans are kept for 30 days.
- Business email Google Workspace
- Hosts our business mailbox, where the form message is received and stored under Google’s terms and our account settings.
Cloudflare, Resend and Google also handle information under their own privacy policies and their contracts with us. Other providers may handle information when needed for email hosting, file storage, security, professional services or a contracted project. We update this policy when those uses materially change.
How long information is kept.
We delete an enquiry that does not become a project 24 months after the last contact. If it becomes a project, it is kept with the project record for five years after the work is complete.
Project images and reports are kept for the period in the service agreement or our retention schedule. Information may be kept longer for tax, safety, insurance, a dispute, a legal hold or another legal duty. Backup copies may remain until they are overwritten on the normal schedule.
Security.
We use safeguards suited to a small inspection business: access controls, protected accounts, and secure storage and transfer. No system is completely secure. Access to project data is limited to the people and providers who need it for the work.
Your choices, and how to reach us.
You may ask what contact information we hold about you. You may ask us to correct it or delete it. We honor reasonable requests when we can, after checking who is asking. Some records we must keep, or reasonably need to keep, for contracts, safety, security, insurance, legal claims or other legal duties.
If your concern involves inspection imagery, tell us the approximate date and location so we can review it.
Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information as defined in NRS 603A.333. You may still send a request directing us not to sell your covered information, by email to admin@verticalrecon.com. We respond within 60 days.
You do not have to use the form. The contact page lists other ways to reach us, and nothing here depends on you filling anything in.
Changes and contact.
Send privacy questions or requests to admin@verticalrecon.com. We update this page when our tools or practices materially change, and the date at the top changes with it. If you think this page is wrong or unclear, tell us and we will review it.

Questions about your data?
Ask before you send anything. We would rather tell you what a form stores and who processes it than have you find out afterwards.
