Based in Idaho · mobilized across the Intermountain West
We fly where the work is.
Thermal work is decided by the window, not the calendar. A canal reach has to be flown near dawn, a roof scan after sunset, a solar array under specific irradiance. The chart carries a base and a range, because the two are different claims: where we are local, and where we travel.
02 · The register
One base. Six states.
BaseWhere we are local
Boise and the Treasure Valley. Seven counties, named because we are local to them.
Treasure Valley 7 counties
- 01 Ada
- 02 Canyon
- 03 Gem
- 04 Boise
- 05 Owyhee
- 06 Payette
- 07 Elmore
RangeWhere we travel
Six states, flown as scheduled trips. Twin Falls is a trip; so is Casper. Idaho is one of the six, because the rest of the state is a trip too. The method, the standards and the deliverable do not change with the distance. Only the calendar does.

Out-of-region work is scheduled as mobilization trips; multi-site days welcome. Grouping sites into one trip is what makes the travel worth doing, so tell us everything you want looked at while we are there.
03 · Before the flight
Access is arranged before the flight, not on the day.
Written authorization from the owner of the asset is in place before every flight. For a canal reach that is the district; for a facility it is the operator; for a construction site it is the owner or the general contractor holding the site.
The practice is the same wherever we fly. How we operate is set out on the safety and data practices page.
Where a site sits under controlled airspace, near an airport, or inside a temporary flight restriction, that is established during scoping. It changes the schedule, not the method.
